WoW Forever Racials

Compare race abilities, cooldowns and available classes in our November 2 racial reference.

Ten racial options at a glance

Compare the recorded utility before choosing a character. The two Skyborne faction variants are separate entries because their class choices and environmental abilities differ. Class suggestions below are editorial starting points based on these effects, not simulation results.

How to read the comparison

Health, Dodge, recovery and reduced control duration are different benefits. None should be presented as a universal percentage of damage prevented. Active defensive effects also have limited durations and cooldowns; the table names them without turning them into passive bonuses.

The PvP column describes an effect’s likely use, not a claim that every ability is enabled in every activity or that it removes all control. Check the specific category: a stun break, a fear break and escape from movement impairment answer different problems. Read the complete race page for restrictions and the PvP planning guide for matchup choices.

Choose a class before comparing races

First confirm your faction and available class, then compare utility for your intended activity. A pet bonus only helps the portion of damage it affects; a creature-specific bonus needs a qualifying target. For group play, a missing control answer may matter more than a small throughput difference. Our historical class rankings do not rank races, and should not be used as proof of a racial winner.
