Forever Talents data and methodology
A dated community import, readable rank descriptions and explicit limits on what the planner verifies.
Which data version is on this site?
The active dataset is the September 26, 2026 export from Talents Forever, retrieved and reviewed for this update on September 29. Its publisher describes the current talent data as records from the WoW Forever beta client, build 1.60.1.70009. The export date is not a claim that this site continuously follows live tuning.
The export is available under the publisher’s CC BY 4.0 license. We adapt its format for our calculator and write our own navigation and explanatory guides. Original game text and artwork remain Blizzard Entertainment’s.
What does the import cover?
There are 466 class talent records across nine classes and 27 trees, with supplied text for all 1,318 ranks. Every imported talent has a beta source flag and every available rank has the publisher’s confirmed marker. These are source declarations, not a claim that this site tested all effects in the game.
The publisher’s website may use a different headline count. Our count includes only entries actually present in the nine class talent trees; it excludes Legacy perks, racials and spellbook abilities. The previous September 15 import had 470 class records and incomplete rank descriptions. Read the class-by-class snapshot comparison.
How is the update checked?
We compare the new import with the saved previous dataset. Checks cover tree positions, rank caps, unique talent identifiers, named prerequisites and the presence of text for every rank. We also check that each class supports a valid full point allocation and that the generated pages contain their full text reference and working internal links.
These checks establish internal consistency and coverage. They do not independently reproduce Blizzard’s game behavior or measure damage, healing, threat or build strength. Editorial explanations follow the supplied effects and their conditions. We do not invent missing ranks or interpolate unprovided percentages.
What rules does the calculator use?
Levels 10–60 use the standard level-minus-nine point budget, reaching 51 at level 60. A deeper row needs five additional points in earlier rows of the same tree. Named prerequisite talents must be fully ranked. The Legacy Talented selector models ranks 0–5: points start at level 10 minus the selected rank and remain capped at 51. The selector assumes that rank is unlocked; it does not allocate other Legacy perks. See point-budget examples and requirements.
How should I read Classic comparisons?
Classic labels and text are supplied by the same community source. A status such as changed can include wording differences, and the recorded Classic excerpt is not necessarily matched to every Forever spell rank or character level. Use it to find something worth checking, not to calculate a percentage buff from mismatched numbers.
Blizzard’s Forever Deep Dive recap provides the announced direction, including the 16-point milestone and several buffs becoming baseline. That historical overview does not validate every current beta tooltip. When an old announcement example differs from a newer import, the guides distinguish the versions.
What happens to old build links?
New links carry snapshot beta-2026-09-26-v1, the class, level and stable talent identifiers. Links using a different snapshot are preserved but not silently imported. Talents can move, disappear or change their effects. Use Build updates to read the archived allocation and review exact affected talents and refunded points. Choose to open the proposed current build, then save it as a separate allocation.

Data adapted from Talents Forever under CC BY 4.0. Class and talent icons, tree backgrounds and the Forever editorial artwork are credited to Blizzard Entertainment and served locally. The community data license does not grant rights to Blizzard artwork. This is an independent, noncommercial fan project, not an official Blizzard service.
When is the data reviewed?
A new upstream export or relevant official change triggers another review. Source dates change when the imported data changes; editorial review dates change when the page is actually checked. This page documents the September 29 update and does not promise automatic daily synchronization.
