CLASSIC CONTEXT · SNAPSHOT COMPARISON

WoW Forever talent changes

Compare the announced Classic changes, then see exactly what differs between this site’s September 15 and September 26 imports.

What changes from Classic?

Blizzard’s Deep Dive describes familiar tree rows with milestone choices at 11, 21 and 31 points and a new 16-point milestone. Some talents keep their earlier effects, while others change. A familiar name is not enough to establish that a Classic allocation still behaves the same way.

Announced class-buff changes and what to check
ClassAnnounced changePlanning consequence
PriestDivine Spirit becomes baseline.Do not spend points looking for the old buff-granting talent.
PaladinBlessing of Kings becomes baseline.Review the current Holy, Protection and Retribution choices.
DruidThe Improved Mark of the Wild effect becomes baseline.A missing old talent does not by itself mean the buff disappeared.

When rebuilding, compare the effect, rank cap, tree position and prerequisites. Classic text in our reference is a source-supplied comparison excerpt; it is not a fully matched, rank-by-rank simulation. Different character levels and spell ranks can change displayed numbers.

What changed in our September 26 data update?

The previous import had 470 class talent records and some missing rank text. The current import has 466 records across 27 trees, with text for all 1,318 ranks. This is a comparison of our two datasets, not a claim to cover every intervening patch.

The source publisher labels all current talent ranks as confirmed beta data. We checked the import’s rank coverage, layout and references; we have not tested each effect in the game. The export date and source verification are kept separate from this page’s editorial review date.

Old share links retain their encoded data. They are not automatically migrated: changed names, ranks and positions can change a build’s meaning. Recreate the intended allocation in the current calculator and save a new link.

Does a changed tooltip mean a stronger build?

No. An updated record can fill a missing rank, correct wording or reflect tuning. Even a numeric increase must be interpreted with its conditions, costs and other talents. This site validates point allocations; it does not calculate damage rankings or recommend an untested best build.
