Recorded racial abilities
War Stomp
0.5 sec cast, 1.5 min cooldown. Stuns up to 5 enemies within 8 yds for 2 sec.
Endurance
Total Health increased by 5%.
Cultivation
Instant. Cultivate a nearby herb, growing a duplicate you can harvest without requiring Herbalism skill. Each herb may only be cultivated once. In play it goes on a 15 min cooldown, though its tooltip shows none.
Plainsrunning
Gain 2% increased movement speed every 5 sec spent moving, up to a maximum of 60% increase. Taking damage or standing still will reduce this effect. Does not increase mounted movement speed.
Best classes for Tauren in WoW Forever
Warrior and bear-focused Druid planning can value Endurance because additional total Health creates a larger damage buffer. That is different from reducing incoming damage or replacing mitigation. Shaman can consider War Stomp as a short control window before another action. Hunter is also available, but Tauren’s listed racials do not include the Orc pet-damage bonus; choose according to the utility you intend to use.

Tauren in PvE
War Stomp affects up to five nearby enemies, so positioning matters when trying to create breathing room. Its half-second cast and short stun duration require deliberate timing. Plainsrunning builds movement speed while traveling and loses effectiveness when stationary or taking damage; it is not mounted-speed scaling. Cultivation has a source discrepancy: the export reports a practical cooldown although the tooltip shows none. Treat that observation as a check to make in the client.
Tauren in PvP
An area stun can interrupt an opponent’s plan or give a teammate time to move, provided the target can be stunned and is in range. It is not a racial break for control already affecting you. Endurance remains a Health bonus during pressure, while Plainsrunning’s damage-sensitive behavior makes it different from a guaranteed escape sprint. Plan around those conditions rather than assuming all movement bonuses function alike.
Tauren vs Orc and Troll
Orc is a useful comparison for Warrior or Shaman when offensive windows and stun duration matter. Troll brings an attack and casting-speed cooldown and different recovery tools. Tauren instead concentrates on Health, local control and travel utility. Compare Druid only with races that actually offer Druid in the current class list.

Is Endurance a 5% damage reduction?
No. It increases total Health by 5% in this record. The same incoming hit still needs to be handled by armor, resistance, mitigation or healing as appropriate.
Is Tauren the best race for every available class?
