BETA TALENT DATA Snapshot · November 3, 2026

WoW Forever Gnome Racials

Alliance racial reference from the November 2 beta export.

Gnome is a Alliance option. Compare its recorded utility with your class and activity.

Recorded racial abilities

Escape Artist

Instant, 2 min cooldown. Instantly escape the effects of any movement impairing effect and gain immunity to those effects for 3 sec.

Expansive Mind

Maximum Mana, Rage or Energy increased by 5%, whichever your class uses.

Engineering Specialization

Your gnomish ingenuity reduces the rate of engineering devices failing or backfiring when you use them by 20%.

Eureka!

Instant, 2 min cooldown. For 8 sec, your non-periodic damaging abilities cost 10% less (Mana, Rage or Energy) and deal 10% more damage. For Priests, your non-periodic damaging or healing abilities cost 10% less Mana and do 10% more damage or healing. Periodic effects get nothing from it; a channeled spell is not periodic. The Mage's own tooltip is the one that leaves out non-periodic.

Best classes for Gnome in WoW Forever

Mage and Warlock can examine Eureka! for their direct damaging abilities, while Rogue can consider the same window for Energy costs and damage. Priest has an explicitly different wording that includes eligible healing. Expansive Mind increases the maximum resource used by the class; a larger resource pool is not automatically faster regeneration. Gnome Priest is an available Forever combination, so healing utility deserves a separate evaluation.

Available classes: Warrior · Rogue · Priest · Mage · Warlock.

Gnome in PvE

Align Eureka! with eligible non-periodic abilities and enough available resources to act during its short duration. Do not apply its bonus to every damage-over-time effect. The export notes a wording discrepancy in the Mage tooltip; check the current client before making exact damage assumptions. Engineering Specialization reduces failures or backfires according to the source, but that does not make every device reliable or establish its availability in an encounter.

Gnome in PvP

Escape Artist addresses movement-impairing effects and gives a brief immunity to them. It is not worded as a universal stun, fear or silence break. A successful escape still requires a useful route and awareness of what an opponent can cast next. For Priest, separate the racial’s eligible healing benefit from the damaging-ability version used by other classes.

Gnome vs Human and Dwarf

Human handles stuns directly and offers stealth detection, whereas Dwarf handles specific harmful effects and Physical pressure. Gnome is worth considering when roots or slows prevent movement and when its short ability window fits your playstyle. The extra maximum resource is another consideration, but it cannot replace a comparison of actual resource costs.

Gnome racial FAQ

Does Eureka! strengthen damage-over-time effects?

The checked record excludes periodic effects. It separately notes that a channeled spell is not classified as periodic for this wording and that the Mage tooltip has a discrepancy requiring client verification.

Is Gnome the best race for every available class?

No. These tooltips establish utility, not measured rankings. Compare your activity, enemy type, cooldown timing and class mechanics.

Which version do these Gnome racials describe?
