WoW Forever Hall of Thanes Quests
Faction pickups, prerequisites and a run checklist for Hall of Thanes dungeon quests.
Recommended dungeon band: 13–18. This is a preparation guide, not a minimum-level requirement. Quest chains and item starters must be accepted by each player.
Pickup order and prerequisites
Collect the outside quests first, accept An Ancient Grudge in the first boss area, clear the early undead objectives, then finish the Dark Iron wing. Check each player’s heirloom count and the final boss head before leaving. The source has inconsistent map coordinates for Afadra; use the named Old Ironforge NPC instead of copying the quarry coordinates.

Inside the dungeon
- Clear the opening undead rooms for The Restless Dead. Take An Ancient Grudge from the Ghostly Attendant before engaging Faldrim.
- Clear space around the first boss’s patrol. Continue into the Dark Iron section, collecting heirlooms as you go.
- Handle Magmatus with his summoner separated from the party. Fight Plunder with a wall behind the tank.
- Clear the outer looters before the final group. After Durgen, check the Reliquary vaults for remaining heirlooms and the Treaty.
Before leaving
- Check each player’s quest log, not only the party leader’s completion.
- Loot boss objectives and accept item-started quests before deleting or selling anything.
- Keep follow-up quest items until their delivery is complete.
- Inspect the actual reward choices for your role before turning in.
Old Ironforge Incursion offers the Ironforge Greathammer or Deepblaze; Important Heirlooms offers Dwarven Tome, and An Ancient Grudge offers Catacomb Cloak. Faldrim’s listed drops include Spiritwraith Drape, Ephemeral Choker and Aetherwisp Bracers. These are examples to compare with your equipment, not a universal BiS ranking.
